Cooper River Dragon Boat Festival
When: Saturday, July 30, 8:30 am – 4 pm
Where: Cooper River Park, Pennsauken
Grab an oar and compete in the annual Dragon Boat competition as you test your abilities with a 200 meter race. Not a boat kind of person? It’s just as fun on land. Take a walk along the Cooper River and take in the specularly decorated boats, cheer on a team and join in the fun.
Sunflower Festival
When: Friday & Saturday, July 29 – 30
Where: Egg Harbor City
Frolic through 10 acres of sunflower fields while you enjoy live music, food trucks, craft vendors and lots of Instagram-able moments at Sahl’s Father Son Farm.
Ultimate Beach Frisbee
When: Saturday & Sunday, July 30-21
Where: Wildwood
More than 500 teams compete in this 4-on-4 team competition for players of all skill levels. The annual event is held on the beach from Oak Avenue to Rio Grande Avenue in Wildwood. Hours are: 9:30 am – 5 pm on Saturday, and 10 am – 5 pm on Sunday.
Down on the Farm Weekend
When: Saturday, July 30, 11 am – 4 pm
Where: Cape May, Historic Spring Village
Get a taste of life on an Early American farm with activities, exhibits, crafts and more that show you what it was like living in rural South Jersey centuries ago. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for children, and free for children under 3.
Concerts at the Zoo
When: Saturday, July 30, 4:30 – 5:30 pm
Where: Cape May Zoo
Visit the animals at the Cape May Zoo, then stick around for a free concert in the park. This weekend catch John Walter Cape Community Band surrounded by flamingos, otters, lions and more.
Lego Fest
When: Saturday, July 30, 11 am – 4 pm
Where: Cape May Court House
Does your family love to build things with Legos? Come display your Lego creations at the city’s first ever Lego Fest. Try your hand at building challenges, enter Lego raffles, and compete for the best display. A half table display is $5 per contestant, and admission is free for spectators.
Ocean City Pops Presents…
When: Sunday, July 31
Where: Ocean City
The Ocean City Pops perform a wide variety of music for all ages throughout the summer. This weekend’s special concert is Broadway Smash Hits. The concert starts at 7:30 pm at The Ocean City Music Pier. Tickets prices range from $20-$30.
