Instagrammable South Jersey
Some places just demand a photo. Lucky for us, South Jersey has plenty of them.

Beach Plum Farm

140 Stevens St, West Cape May
Trade the beach for the farm at this 62-acre West Cape May escape, where you’ll find working fields, farm animals and rows of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Wander the paths, snap a few photos by the barns and don’t leave without stopping at the farm market.

Batsto Village

31 Batsto Rd, Batsto
Once a center for iron and glassmaking, Batsto is home to more than 30 historic buildings, including the Batsto Mansion, gristmill and general store. Wander the grounds for plenty of photo-worthy spots, with the lake and historic buildings setting the scene.

Kirby’s Mill

279 Church Rd., Medford
Step back in time at this picture-perfect Medford landmark, where the red mill, weathered buildings and pond make it hard to take a bad photo. Built in 1778, Kirby’s Mill has plenty of history to go with the scenery. Head across the road for a wider view, and get that classic reflection shot if the water’s calm.

Apple Pie Hill

On Batona Trail, 8.6 miles down from Carranza Rd.
For a view that goes on for miles, make the trek to Apple Pie Hill, one of the highest points in the Pine Barrens. The 60-foot fire tower marks the spot, surrounded by forest. The tower itself may be off-limits, but there’s still plenty of scenery worth pulling out your camera for. (Photo: Adina Kline)

Doo Wop Experience Museum

4500 Ocean Ave, Wildwood
Step into Wildwood’s colorful past at this tribute to the neon signs, bold architecture and retro style that defined the shore in the 1950s and ’60s. Check out vintage signs, motel memorabilia and plenty of classic Doo Wop design.

The Palace of Depression

265 S. Mill Rd., Vineland
Originally built during the Great Depression using scrap materials, the Palace has been reconstructed with its winding paths, unusual structures and quirky details intact. Look closely as you explore – there’s something unexpected around nearly every corner (and built into every wall), so there’s plenty worth capturing for your feed. (Photo: David Michael Howarth)
