Bluegrass Festival

When: Wednesday, August 31 – Sunday, September 4
Where: Salem County Fairgrounds
Jam out to some southern Appalachian bluegrass at this family-friendly music festival, featuring artists like the Gibson Brothers, Laurie Lewis & the Right Hands and Country Current. Kids can joy the Kids Academy, with lots of music and activities to keep them busy throughout the weekend. Tickets are $140 for adults, $70 for students for the full weekend, or $70 for adults and $40 for students for a weekend day pass. 

Airfest

When: Friday, September 2 – Monday, September 5
Where: Cape May
Head to the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum for a weekend full of fun. Take a peek at World War II aircrafts, Tuskegee airman helicopters & more as you enjoy a beer garden, face painting, live music, food, classic cars, presentations, amazing displays and vendors. Events are held from 10 am – 4 pm every day. 

Glassboro Car Show & Food Truck Festival

When: Friday, September 2
Where: Glassboro
Head to Rowan Blv’d in Glassboro to see classic, restored and exotic vehicles. Enjoy a beer garden, live music, food vendors and more. The event will run from 5 – 9 pm rain or shine. 

Wildwoods Boardwalk Fireworks

When: Friday, September 2
Where: Wildwoods
If you’re on the Wildwoods boardwalk at 10 pm, you won’t want to miss the last fireworks show of the season. The display is launched from Pine Avenue & the beach, and is the perfect way to finish out the summer. 

Hands-On History 

When: Saturday & Sunday, September 3 & 4
Where: Historic Cold Springs Village, Cape May
Take a step back in time with a weekend full of hands-on activities. Children will get a “Pastport,” where they can stamp off activities and crafts to earn free treats at the Country Store. Enjoy other games, live entertainment and educational activities. 

Tomato Festival

When: Saturday, September 3
Where: West Cape May
Head to West Cape May’s Backyard Park to celebrate all things tomatoes. Explore food vendors (who, yes, have to include tomatoes in their offerings!), craft vendors, live music and more. Proceeds from the event benefit the WCM Shade Tree Commission. 

End of Summer Block Party

When: Sunday, September 4
Where: Wildwoods
Celebrate the end of the summer (sad, we know, but there’s still fun to be had!) with a Wildwoods block party. Enjoy live music, food vendors, crafters, a bounce house, games and face painting from to 10 pm at Fox park.
