Juneteenth Community Celebration

When: Saturday, June 18; 1 pm
Where: Owens Field, Glassboro
Spend the day with Black & Brilliant at their Juneteenth Celebration, co-sponsored by Rowan University’s Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Enjoy live music, dance, poetry, games and vendors from local Black business owners.

Rock the River

When: Sunday, June 19; 1PM
Where: Camden Waterfront
Cost: $25

Head to the Battleship NJ for a day of music aboard the ship — we’re talking everything from classic 70s and 80s rock tributes to Reggae tunes at the beach bar and, of course, some oldies but goodies in Motown, country, rock and more.

Parade & Festival

When: Saturday, June 18; 10 am – 5 pm
Where: Croft Farm, Cherry Hill
Join the Cherry Hill African American Civic Association, Cherry Hill Township and Cherry Hill Police Department at the 2nd annual Juneteenth Parade. Enjoy performers, vendors, activities and a parade lead by this year’s Grand Marshall, Camden County Commissioners Jonathan Young, St. 

Burlington Freedom Day

When: Saturday, June 18 – Sunday, June 19
Where: Riverfront and High Street, Burlington
Celebrate Juneteenth, a day honoring the end of American Slavery, with a weekend full of music, food, vendors and more. This year’s theme is “Freedom is for everyone.”

Barefoot Country Music Fest

When: Friday, June 17 – Sunday, June 19
Where: Wildwood
Head down the Shore for one of the area’s biggest county music festivals. More than 40 musicians will be performing over the weekend, including headliners like country superstars like Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch and Florida Georgia Line.

And of course, spend some time with your fathers this weekend — have a happy Father’s Day!
