Thanks to ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio and Eagles Insider Dave Spadaro, we provided extensive coverage of the Eagles’ journey to the Super Bowl – and the incredible win. Dave took us inside the locker room for plenty of one-on-one interviews that covered more than the game (like his story on what players who live in South Jersey love about our hometown). SalPal took a more analytical look at the team, talking to Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz at length and then giving us his take on what was happening. He also sent daily video reports from the Super Bowl in the week leading up to the championship game. SalPal wrapped up the season with his personal account of the winning team and the Eagles’ incredible performance.

Sports stars next door
If you live in South Jersey there’s a good chance you live down the road from a professional athlete. Or at least you’ve seen one at the local diner loading up on carbs. The land over the bridge may be where they go for their day jobs, but so many pros make SJ their home base. And that’s been just great for us.
SalPal’s been on our pages before…
The first time ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio turned up in SJ Magazine, it was 2005 and he was the one being interviewed. We covered the popular sports analyst two more times – in 2007 and 2013. Sal has always been a friend of SJ, even stopping by our offices to sign his book “Philly Special,” a bestseller that chronicles the Eagles’ road to the Super Bowl.
