South Jersey Beaches to Visit With Your BFF (Meaning Your Pup!)

Life’s adventures are just not the same without your trusted pup. Here are some Jersey beaches that will welcome you and your favorite companion with open arms (or paws).

Wildwood Dog Park & Beach

3000 Boardwalk, Wildwood
As one of the largest dog beaches in the world, this Jersey Shore haven has something for everyone. Whether your dog is a water-lover or just wants to play in the sand with some of their favorite toys, you’re sure to love it here. Dogs are free to explore from Glenwood to Maple Avenues. You’ll know you’ve arrived once you find the 30-foot tall fire hydrant.

Island Beach State Park

2400 Central Ave, Seaside Park
If you’re looking for a peaceful day in the sand, this is the place to do it. With miles of beaches for your dogs to walk, there’s plenty of open space to roam with your dog close by. You can even check out the nearby trails for a bonus walk through the park.

Higbee Beach

1 Higbees Beach Road, Cape May
This quiet, picturesque beach is the perfect escape for dog-lovers. Higbee Beach is the ideal place for relaxing on the sand with a book and your best friend year-round—does it get any better?!

Longport Dog Beach

Route 152 and Ocean Drive Bridge, Egg Harbor Township
This convenient oasis allows pups to run, swim, and play freely, and is a great place to meet some new four-legged friends. Don’t forget to bring a towel and chair—you may be staying for a while!
