The tradition continues at Absecon Lighthouse. The annual “Evening of Romance & Renewal” celebrates couples pledging their love for each other – again. Couples give a minimum donation of $40 for a ceremony, champagne toast and romantic dancing. The event runs from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Plus, couples climb together for the price of one all weekend long.

Set the romantic tone with an intimate dinner at one of South Jersey’s exceptional eateries. Whether you’re a French food fanatic or a burger buff, you can find the perfect restaurant to indulge in romance.

 

Valentine’s Chocolate Walk

February 10
Businesses in Downtown Bordentown will be armed with chocolate treats to help you celebrate this sweet holiday. Purchase a passport before 5:30 pm at the Downtown Bordentown Association tent, then stroll down the street to receive a treat at each business and a stamp in your passports. Completed passports can be returned to the tent for a chance to win prizes.

 

Cooking Class

February 14
Switch up Valentine’s Day dinner at In the Kitchen Cooking School. Work with your partner to cook the special holiday menu, complete with cheese puffs, filet mignon and chocolate cake. Class begins at 6:30 pm and costs $70.

 

Furniture Painting

February 12
Plan your dream kitchen together – or at least the cabinets – while learning a skill you can take home. Learn everything it takes to brighten up your dull cabinets. The class runs from 1 to 3 pm and costs $95.

 

Go for a Hike

What’s a better way to celebrate romance than taking in the peaceful scenery of SJ’s nature? South Jersey has so many trails from the Delaware River to the Pinelands to the Shore, it’s easy to find one close by. Just bundle up, grab your sweetheart and hit the trails.
