7 Events to Celebrate the 4th of July in South Jersey

Mt. Holly

When: July 3, 5 to 10 pm
Where: Iron Works Park
Enjoy live music, giveaways, children’s games, balloon animals, food trucks and fireworks at Iron Works Park. 

Ocean City

When: July 4, 7pm – 9pm
Where: Ocean City Boardwalk
It’s a full day of excitement – start your day off with the bike parade at 10 am, then slap on your skates at 5th and Asbury for the Fourth of July Skate Bash 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event will feature a DJ, snacks, giveaways and a patriotic costume contest. End the night as you watch the 4th of July kit flying competition, and of course, fireworks over the boardwalk. 

Cape May

When: July 2 & 3, 11 am – 4 pm
Where: Cold Spring Village
What better way to celebrate the 4th than with a bit of history? Head to the Cold Spring Village’s annual Independence Day Celebration in Cape May to see the restored historic buildings, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, live music, games and more. 

Haddonfield

When: July 3
Where: Kings Highway
Enjoy some food trucks, live music, games, bounce houses & more at the Yankee Doodle Do and Fireworks in Haddonfield starting at 9pm on Kings Highway. Fireworks kick off at 9pm. Don’t stay up too late though, the 4th of July Parade down Kings Highway starts 10 am on the 4th.

Wildwood

When: July 4, 10 pm
Where: Pine Avenue Beach
There’s no better way to jazz up a night on the Wildwood Boardwalk than capping it off with fireworks. Grab dinner and dessert on the boards, then head outside for the celebration at 10 pm. 

Camden

When: July 4, 5  pm to 10 pm
Where: Wiggins Park
Head down to the waterfront for Camden’s Freedom Festival, featuring live music, artists, wine & beer, food and more. Fireworks kick off over the Delaware River at 9:30 pm. 

Collingswood

When: July 4, 9:15 pm
Where: Collingswood High School
Strap in — there’s a full day of fun ahead. Start the 4th with the Bike Parade at 10 am, then put on your swim suits for water games, raft races, coin toss, & prizes at Roberts Pool starting at 2pm. Catch a 7pm live music performance at the high school field, and fireworks start at dusk.
