Get on the water

Art, but make it outdoors-y

Who says you need to be cooped up inside to enjoy some eye-catching art? Wander Grounds For Sculpture’s 42 acres to see more than 270 sculptures tucked away into meticulously cared for gardens.

Live a little history

As an open-air living history museum, you can learn more about SJ’s history in the most hands-on way imaginable at Historic Cold Spring Village. Make sure to grab a brew at Cold Spring Brewery, the first nonprofit brewery in New Jersey.

Learn a little

Ever wonder what owls are native to South Jersey? You can learn that and so much more through Rancocas Nature Center’s educational programs and exhibits, while exploring Rancocas’ forests, meadows and waterways.

Make friends with the wildlife

Cedar Run treats more than 5,000 wild animals each year, and the ones who can’t go back to the wild live on their 171-acre refuge, which you can visit to learn more about our area’s native wildlife. Celebrate the outdoors, and make a wild friend.

Take a hike (get it?)

It’s a tried-and-true method for getting some well-deserved Vitamin D while taking in the beautiful scenery in South Jersey. And we’ve got the hiking trails you have to try. Check them out here

The outdoors aren’t for everyone

Sometimes, South Jersey weather gets a little wet – but that doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy the nature in the rain. Check out these scenic drives for the days when you don’t feel like braving the outdoors.
