Although she’s an Eagles fan, Wildwood Crest’s Veronica Harwood chased after a different NFL star’s heart this summer. On the E! reality show “Catching Kelce,” Harwood and 49 other women (one from each state) competed to catch Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
With a “Bachelor” set-up, Kelce – the brother of Eagles’ Center Jason Kelce – eliminated women each week until he was left to choose between the final four last night. At a watch party in Wildwood Crest, Harwood viewed the finale with friends and family as she made it to the final two.
In the end, Kelce chose Maya, sending Harwood back to New Jersey and shocking millions. “I came on to this experience, this show, because I needed that change in my life, and Veronica is that change,” he said. “Even though my mind is telling me one thing, I’ve got to go with my heart.”
Harwood was hurt by the decision, but looked to the future in a Facebook live video. “There are plenty of fish in the sea. Thank you everyone who supported me!” she told her followers.
