SalPal’s RIZZO Returns to Philadelphia

Sal Paolantonio – ESPN correspondent and frequent SJ Magazine contributor – will see his best-selling book come to life once again, as the Philadelphia Theatre Company stages “RIZZO,” a play based on SalPal’s “Rizzo: The Last Big Man in Big City America.”

Last year the play about the iconic – and controversial – former Philly mayor Frank Rizzo sold out for five weeks straight. Theatergoers stood in the aisles just to see the critically acclaimed stage production.

Scott Greer, who won the 2015 Barrymore Award for Best Actor, will reprise his role as Frank Rizzo during this year’s five-week run at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre on the Avenue of the Arts. The show opens September 23 and runs through October 16. Click here to purchase tickets.
