Art at Every Corner

There’s now even more to see on the Wildwoods’ already-colorful streets. Local Shore artist Susan Daly was commissioned to take things up a notch by painting the large metal traffic signal boxes located at each intersection along Rio Grande Avenue, the main thoroughfare of the Wildwoods.

Daly hand-painted a series of seven unique signal boxes with beach themes like “let your worries drift away” and “happier than a seagull with a French Fry.”

The boxes aren’t Daly’s only works on display in the Wildwoods. She also painted the town’s second and third Icon Wall Murals, featuring Bill Haley and the Comets and Chubby Checker.
