With the age of social media comes the age of influencers. Some are using their platform to raise their voices, advocate for causes they believe in and change the world. Others are just dancing their way through life. But whether you’re into these social celebrities or not, they’re in your lives and on your feed. Behind some of the most “liked” TikTok, Instagram and YouTube posts are SJ natives who are capturing the attention of social media followers around the world.

Deptford-raised Evan Edinger, 30, makes lots of comedic YouTube videos about life in America from his flat in London. Luckily for us – and frankly, for all of his 629K subscribers – the majority of his American experience comes from growing up right here in South Jersey.

This 35-year-old comedian and YouTube personality of channels, “Not too Deep,” “This Might Get Weird” and “Pile It On” has been amassing her 2.7M subscribers since 2008. Helbig, from Woodbury Heights, is best known for her quirky personality and in-your-face interviews with other social media stars.
