Five Things to Do in South Jersey This Weekend: June 10

The heat is finally here and it’s just in time for some awesome South Jersey events. Check out what’s going on in your neighborhood this weekend.


Runway Fun Walk

All air traffic will be halted so you can walk along the runway at the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum for its annual Runway 5K. Participants can embark on a 5K, 10K or 1-mile fun walk. After the races, attendees can enjoy free craft beer, bagels, fruit and refreshments. Registration begins at 7 am, and races begin at 9 am. Ronald House Run

Take strides to help the families of Ronald McDonald House during the annual Ronald House Run at Riverwinds Community Center in West Deptford. Adults can opt for a fast 5K starting at 10 am or a 1-mile walk starting at 10:15 am, and kids can enjoy a bounce house, face painting and a “tot trot” race starting at 9:30 am. Film Festival

Saturday & Sunday
Shorts, documentaries and feature films play at the Lighthouse International Film Festival on Long Beach Island. Watch films from up-and-coming directors and indie studios, and attend panels to discuss the films. Times of shows vary; see website for details. Cost is $125 for an all-access pass. NJ Renaissance Faire

Saturday & Sunday
Step back in time for the weekend at the NJ Renaissance Faire. Check out seven stages of entertainment, sword fighters, magicians and much more Medieval talent at 1195 Florence Columbus Road, Bordentown. The event runs from 10 am to 6 pm. For more information, visit the website.


Pet Expo
