5 Things to Do in South Jersey This Weekend: Aug. 10

The weekend is here, and that means it’s time to spend time with the family and shake off the work week. Check out our roundup of these awesome events and festivals happening around South Jersey.


August 11

Step aboard the Battleship New Jersey to honor the Allies’ victory in World War II. The event runs from 8 am to 5 pm and features music from the 1940s, World War II reenactors and a barbeque. Tickets for the barbeque and a dance cost $30 for adults and $24 for children 16 and under. For more information, call 856-966-1652.

August 11
Get a feel of the Old West at the Cowtown Rodeo in Pilesgrove. Starting at 7:30 pm, visitors will be able to see seven rodeo events, including bull riding, steer wrestling and team roping. A barbeque buffet is also open from 4 pm to 8 pm.
August 11
Take a step back to the ’90s with Counting Crows at BB&T Pavilion in Camden. The show starts at 6:30 pm. Tickets are still on sale and start at $19.50.
August 11-12
Try all different types of seafood during Bellview Winery’s Seafood Festival. The festival runs from noon to 5 pm on both days. The $20 ticket for adults 21 and over permits a wine tasting, live music and access to seafood vendors. Those 20 and under are admitted for free. Tickets will be available at the entrance. August 12
Come by Sharrott Winery between 1 pm and 4 pm to hear live music from Crisbie and enjoy a wine tasting. There will be indoor and outdoor seating on a first-come, first-serve basis. The wine tasting will consist of six different wines.
