The Edelman Planetarium is getting a holiday makeover with some festive shows in their line-up. On Fridays, stop by for Laser Nutcracker Fantasy at 7 pm and Laser Holiday Magic at 8:30 pm. And on Saturdays, see Let It Snow at 5:40 pm or Dark Side of the Moon at 7 pm. Tickets cost $8 per person.
Take in a holiday classic with beautiful movements and festive music as the Atlantic City Ballet presents “The Nutcracker.” Performances are hosted throughout South Jersey, with locations including the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood, the Levoy Theatre in Millville and Caesar’s Atlantic City.
Channel your creativity and take home the perfect addition to your seasonal home decor after this workshop at Grounds For Sculpture. Use natural materials collected from the park’s garden to make your own wreath (with some help from the instructor). The workshop runs from 1:30 to 3:30 pm and costs $70 for members and $85 for non-members.
Take a cozy trolley ride around picturesque Cape May as you learn the history of the resort town and take in the twinkling lights of the decorated historic district. Tickets cost $20 per person, and tours are available throughout December.
Grab your scarves and mittens and head to Historic Smithville for a date that will feel like you’ve stepped into a Hallmark movie. Walk the square to watch the nightly light show on the lake, hop on the carousel or take a ride on the train. Plus, grab something to eat at one of the restaurants in town and do some window shopping at the many stores.
Winterfest is back in Camden County, and it’s the perfect way to plan a romantic night on the ice. The rink is located at Cuthbert Blvd. and Park Avenue. Admission is $9, and skate rentals are available for $6. Complete your night with a reservation at one of the award-winning eateries along Collingswood’s Restaurant Row (Haddon Ave.)
