Things to Do in South Jersey this July

The fun continues after the 4th in South Jersey this July. Check out some family-fun events that are happening all month long. 

 

Sand Sculpting Contest 

July 2 

Try your hand at sand sculpting and compete for the title of sand sculpting champion at Ocean City’s contest, open to kids, teens, adults and families. Registration starts at 9 am at 6th St. and the Beach. For more information, visit the website

 

Pickle Party 

July 4 

Get pickled with Behr Brewing with a day of local vendors, fresh pickles, live music and a pickle eating contest at 5 pm. The party runs from 2 to 8 pm at Behr Brewing. For more information, visit the website.  

 

A Day of Kindness

July 8 

Join Camden County for a resource fair and concert at Haddon Lake Park. The free event starts at 6 pm. For more information, visit the website

 

NJ State BBQ Championship

July 10-12

Three days of BBQ and blues comes to North Wildwood with finger licking foods, cooking demonstrations, national blues acts and more. The free festival runs from 4 to 11 pm on Friday, 10 am to 11 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. For more information, visit the website

 

Butterfly Bonanza

July 11

Chase the butterflies at Grounds For Sculpture as you explore the larger than life sculpture park with a family-friendly scavenger hunt from Mercer County Parks and Rec. The event runs from 10:15 to 11:45 am, and costs $10 for members and children ages 5 to 18 or $35 for non-members. For more information, visit the website

 

Big Guns Cornhole Tournament 

July 11 

Climb aboard the Battleship NJ for a Cornhole Tournament, food and a bar. Registration begins at 11 am (walk-up registration is allowed if the event is not sold out), and the tournament starts at noon. For more information, visit the website

 

Catch of Cape May 

July 11 

Help raise funds for the Nature Center of Cape May while enjoying good food, live music and auctions at Harborview Park. The event runs from 5 to 9 pm, and tickets cost $100. For more information, visit the website

 

World Snake Day 

July 16 

Celebrate snakes with a kids craft, snake artifacts and a stop by Cedar Run’s resident snakes during the refuge’s World Snake Day event. The craft is included with admission to the refuge. For more information, visit the website

 

South Jersey Caribbean Festival 

July 18 

The Caribbean comes to South Jersey for the annual South Jersey Caribbean Festival at Wiggins Park on the Camden Waterfront. The free event features Caribbean culture, food, music, entertainment and more from 2 to 8 pm. For more information, visit the website

 

Antique & Summer Market 

July 25 & 26 

Calling all antique lovers! Get lost in a market of local artists, traditional craftspeople, farm market, food vendors and more at WheatonArts’ Antique and Summer Market.
