Local Ways to Give Back During the Holidays

‘Tis the season for giving. Here are some non-profits that will help you give back to South Jersey.

Sponsor a Family

oaksintcare.org

This holiday season, Oaks Integrated Care is again asking for volunteers to sponsor families’ holidays. Once you fill out the holiday sponsorship form, you’ll be sent a wish list for one family that you can fill and schedule a time to drop off the items at Oaks. And as always, Oaks is accepting monetary donations of any size.

What’s Oaks Integrated Care: OAKS offers 230+ health and social service programs for adults, children & families in New Jersey.

Donate your time

During the special event on Nov. 18, volunteers are invited to help clean the refuge, and each $10 registration fee will be donated to Cedar Run. Volunteers can also enjoy free admission and environmental workshops and activities.

What’s Cedar Run: Cedar Run is dedicated to the preservation of New Jersey’s wildlife and habitats through education, conservation and rehabilitation.

What’s Marketa’s Journey: The nonprofit awards scholarships to women of diverse backgrounds entering STEM fields. They promote the importance of nature and its conservation while also raising awareness of Covid’s effects on the hearts of young adults.
