Cruising the coast
Ocean City to Cape May
Take Ocean Drive, starting at Corson’s Inlet State Park in Ocean City, down the coast to Cape May for views of the Atlantic Ocean, the smell of salt water and plenty of foodie spots to stop by along the way.
Port Elizabeth to Dennisville
Start at Port Elizabeth and drive south along route 47 all the way to Dennisville. Or if you want a longer route that loops back to Port Elizabeth, turn onto route 610 and then route 50 to 632, followed by 548, which will loop back to Port Elizabeth.
Fort Mott to Carney’s Point
See the historic Fort Mott before winding through the waterways and wildlife management areas of Salem County. Start by going north on Fort Mott Rd., then turn right on Harrisonville-Lighthouse Rd., right on Supawna Rd., left on Freas Rd., right on South Broadway, left on Grieves Parkway, left on Market St. up to Route 540 then a slight left onto Hawks Bridge Rd. to Carney’s Point.

New Gretna to Hammonton
Cruise down route 542, which takes you through Batsto Village, a historic town featuring a blacksmith shop, general store and more educational shops. You’ll also see waterways including the Mullica River and Batsto Lake. Start the trip in New Gretna and follow the highway to Hammonton.
Coast to coast
Pennsville to Atlantic City
Take route 40 from one side of the state to the other, taking in plenty of gorgeous sites like sweeping flowery fields, serene lakes and towering trees along the way. Highlights include the Salem County Fairgrounds, Lake Lenape and Cowtown Rodeo.
