18 things to do on beach day trip to Wildwood

Roll the windows down, grab your sunglasses and pack the sunscreen – we’re hitting the beach. Check out all the fun you can have on a beach day in the Wildwoods. 

Take advantage of the free beaches. Seriously. They’re all free. 

If you’re feeling brave, ride one of the extreme rides at Morey’s Piers.

If you’re not feeling brave, take a spin on the ferris wheel. 

Splash around at the water park.

Bike the entire length of 5-mile-island – along the beach – starting at the Cape May National Wildlife Refuge.

Light things up at the Doo Wop Experience Museum.

Hop on the tramcar and chant along with “Watch the tram car please.” 

Have a friendly competition at Ed’s Funcade. 

Walk along the boardwalk.

Stop at a roadside farm stand on the drive down to pick up a Jersey Fresh beach snack.

End the day (or start it, honestly) with some sweet soft serve ice cream. 

Show off your skills on one of the boardwalk’s mini golf courses. 

Climb to the top of the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. 

Take a picture in front of the iconic Wildwood beach ball sign. 

Dive into some seafood at the Crab & Seafood Shack.

Check out an event at the Wildwood Convention Center.

Hang out with fido at the Wildwood Dog Park & Beach.

Eat dinner with a view at one of the many restaurants along Beach Creek, Ottens Basin or Post Creek Basin.
