Even though long snapper Jon Dorenbos was traded to the New Orleans Saints in August, the former Eagle has been promised a Super Bowl ring.

Dorenbos told the New Orleans Advocate that Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie had told him, “’We’re going to win this, and you’re going to get a ring.’” Lurie also invited Dorenbos to be an honorary team member at the big game, and he celebrated on the field with his former team.

After Dorenbos’ trade last year, a doctor on the Saints discovered an aortic aneurysm that sent him straight to surgery and ended his football career.
