Carli Lloyd is making moves – on and off the soccer field. The South Jersey soccer star announced that she has signed to play with the Manchester City Women’s team for their Spring season.
The switch gives Lloyd the opportunity to compete in Europe’s Champions League for the first time, joining several USWNT players who recently joined other European teams.
When Manchester’s season ends in June, Lloyd is expected to return to the U.S. to finish the National Women’s Soccer League season with her former team, the Houston Dash.
