New Jersey’s Favorite Beach is in South Jersey

The results are in! The annual NJ Sea Grant Consortium “Favorite Beaches” poll has come to a close, and Ocean City was named the winner.

Each year, the organization polls the Jersey population to find residents’ favorite beach. This is Ocean City’s fourth consecutive year winning the most votes – the beach snagged more than half of them this year.

In addition to an overall winner, the organization also organized winners by county. The favorite Ocean County beach is Seaside Heights, the favorite Atlantic County beach is Brigantine and the favorite Cape May beach is Ocean City.

Ocean City’s win was announced and celebrated during a ceremony on Music Pier on June 29.
