New Jersey Beaches, Parks & More Are Free This Year
By Elyse Notarianni

Get ready to throw out your beach tags and park passes — at least for this year. Starting this weekend, state parks, forests and recreation areas (including beaches), are free for all. (Yes, even for the out-of-state shoobies!)

While the 2023 state budget isn’t approved yet, Gov. Murphy got the go-ahead to start this part of the plan this weekend.

Did you already buy your yearly pass? No worries — the state will issue a full refund so you can put the money toward your summer boardwalk ice cream budget.
