The Jersey Shore is about to get a facelift, thanks to the recently established “Boardwalk Preservation Fund.”

This Summer, Gov. Phil Murphy signed a bill establishing the $100 million fund, which will be distributed by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs to fund a variety of boardwalk renovation, repair and maintenance projects along the coast. The project’s 3 major objectives are to increase storm resiliency, improve ADA access to the Boardwalk, and build safer and longer-lasting infrastructure.

Coastal municipalities and counties could submit applications for boardwalk projects through October, and the funds will be awarded in January.
