There are only 4 nights this whole summer when you can climb to the top of the Cape May Lighthouse – at night. Organizers have selected the dates – May 30, June 28, July 28 and August 27 – because they start a new lunar cycle and your chances of seeing lots of stars and constellations are the highest then. The special program is called “Stairway to the Stars” which makes total sense, because you’ll have to climb the 199 steps to enjoy the starlit view.
