New Jersey might be small, but it’s mighty – the Garden State population recently grew to 9 million strong.

The milestone, based on population estimates from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, make Jersey the 11th most populated state in the country. Stats show that N.J. also ranked fifth in the nation in the number of people moving here from other countries.
