The Amalfi

Serves 4-6

22 oz. pizza dough
4 sweet or hot Italian sausage links, cooked and crumbled
8 oz. pizza sauce
¾ lb mozzarella cheese, shredded
¾ lb creamy Ricotta cheese
to taste dried oregano and Pecorino Romano cheese



Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Stretch pizza dough to 16 inches, then add the pizza sauce, making sure to spread it within ¼ inch of the edge. Sprinkle oregano and Pecorino Romano cheese over the sauce. Spread the mozzarella evenly across the pizza, then add the ground sausage on top. Using a small spatula, add the ricotta cheese in small dollops evenly on top. Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes, then slice and serve.
