Nanobrewery Gets an OK From Dry South Jersey Town

Haddonfield has taken another step away from its liquor-free reputation.

After a 10-1 vote, the town gave King’s Road Brewing Co. an invitation to do business. The nanobrewery has to apply for a license first, but hopes to open this fall. It is expected to produce about 180 gallons of beer a week for distribution at a new location on Kings Highway.

This is not the town’s first experience with the liquor license debate. In 2014, a new initiative allowed restaurants to lease a portion of their business to New Jersey-based wineries.
