Garden State Paint Horse Show

April 27 & 28 (8 am – 5 pm) | Gloucester County DREAM Park

For the equestrians and horse lovers among us, witness some of the most talented Paint Horses this weekend at DREAM Park. In this free event, experienced professionals and talented young student jockeys will showcase their skills for the chance to win prizes. Green Garden Fair 

April 27 (10 am -2 pm) | Camden County Environmental Center, Cherry Hill

Get to know native plants and the impact they can make in your garden. Presented by Rutgers Master Gardeners, Camden County and the Office of Sustainability, the Green Garden Fair will host a number of experts who can get to the root of your planting challenges. The event will feature a market of annual and perennial plants grown by Master Gardeners, cooking demonstrations and tastings, fun children’s garden projects and a tour of the Educational Garden. 2019 Superhero Run

April 27 ( 8 am – 11 am) | Historic Whitesbog Village, Browns Mills

Race through the dirt roads of Historic Whitesbog Village and through the trails of the forest in this exciting Superhero Run. There is a Kids Dash obstacle course, a 5K for runners and walkers, and a 1-mile Fun Walk. For more information on this event click here.

 

 

Rutgers Day 

April 27 (10 am – 2 pm) | Camden

Connect with Rutgers professors, staff, and students in this fun hands-on learning event for the entire family. Play games, solve virtual reality puzzles, tie a turban with the Sikh Student Association, join in on Camden Comiccon and so much more. Renaissance Fair

April 27 and 28 (11 am – 5 pm) | Historic Smithville

Join the New Jersey Renaissance Faire as they reenact the days of Olde England in The Historic Village of Smithville. Songs and dance, sword fighting, knights and jesters will entertain you in a day full of merriment for all who attend.

 

 

Handmade Artisans Market

April 27 (10 am – 4 pm) | Rancocas Woods, Mount Laurel

The Handmade Artisans Market at Rancocas Woods is hosted on the 4th Saturday of every month (March through December). Dozens of local makers will be in tow with high-quality, one-of-a-kind items. Benjamin Franklin

April 27  (1 – 4 pm) | Indian King Tavern Museum, Haddonfield

Writing in the Pines Workshop

April 27 (9:15 am – 4:30 pm) | Stockton University, Galloway

There’s nothing like writing in the heart of the Pinelands to get those creative juices flowing. Part of Stockton University’s Murphy Writing Series, Writing in the Pines is a getaway designed to remove you from the distractions of every-day life and encourage serious writing breakthroughs. During the 6-hour retreat, you will participate in writing prompts and inspirational discussions. Registration is $90, that fee includes snacks.

 

Raining Cats and Dogs Fest

Saturday, April 27 (11 am – 3 pm) | Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter

Take a photo with Bruiser the Special Cat, visit the popular Kiss-A-Bull kissing booth, watch K9 search-and-rescue demonstrations, see awesome dog tricks, and more at the Raining Cats & Dogs Pet Fest.

Admission to the event is free and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to attend.
