5 Things to Do in South Jersey This Weekend: January 4

Rowan’s Edelman Planetarium

Get a super cool look at the star patterns in the sky at Rowan’s Edelman Planetarium. Show begins at 4 pm, and cost is $5 for adults/non-Rowan students, $3 for seniors 60+, $3 for children 16 and under and $3 for Rowan students. (The planetarium is also showing “Laser Beyonce” tonight at 7!)

Elvis’ Birthday Celebration Weekend
Broadway Theatre of Pitman

Get ready to enjoy not one, but three incredible artists paying tribute to the one and only King of Rock and Roll. Accompanied by the Raised on Rock Band, three Elvis impersonators perform different phases of his phenomenal career. From the 1950’s to Elvis’s Las Vegas years , and including a recreation of his famous “Aloha in Hawaii” performance, you’ll feel as though you’ve just taken a journey through music with the king himself. Adventure Aquarium
So much to see! The aquarium is open from 10 – 5 today. You can meet the divers at Ocean Realm at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. And be sure to stay for hippos Genny and Button’s bedtime at 4:45. (You can also watch their feeding at 10:30 and 11:30 am, and 1:30 and 2:30 pm.) Admission to the aquarium is $25.95 for ages 13 and older, $18.95 for ages 2 through 12 and free for ages 2 and younger.

Winter Art Exhibit
Smithville Mansion Annex Gallery

You can catch a winter art exhibit today The Smithville Mansion Annex Gallery, featuring a wide range of beautiful art, from paintings to photography, all with a winter theme. Artwork is available to purchase and proceeds benefit the Friends of the Mansion. The exhibit runs from 10 am to 4 pm. For more information, email parks@co.burlington.nj.us.

Garden State Discovery Museum

Kids have way too much fun at this hands-on museum. Check out the Dinosaurium, 6ABC’s News & Weather Station and the Subaru Science Center. Hours are 9:30 am – 5:30 pm, and admission is $14.95 for anyone over 12 months. (Seniors receive $1 off admission.)
