Candlelight Vigil

Numerous South Jersey counties will join together in remembrance of overdose victims at a regional candlelight vigil. Overdose Lifeline, Inc. CEO Justin Phillips will speak, along with Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner and Philadelphia columnist Mike Newall. All are invited to attend. Mothers Matter 5K

Get moving for a good cause during the annual Mothers Matter 5K Run and Walk at Washington Lake Park in Sewell. Registration begins at 7:30 am followed by the 5K at 9 am. Proceeds benefit the Lauren Rose Albert Foundation Mothers Matter programs to help women in need. Event is rain or shine. Cost to participate starts at $25. Modeled after the popular TED Talks, TEDxCapeMay will host eight presenters, including musician Wyclef Jean. The theme of the performances is “New Depths,” and the program will run from 10 am to 3:30 pm at The Paul Schmidtchen Theater.
