It’s an infestation!

Anyone else having cabbage moths issues? If you’re not sure, the sign is nasty holes in your brassicas caused by worms that emerge from eggs the cabbage moths lay on the plants (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, etc.). And Marianne Aleardi is suffering from an infestation.

So Toni Farmer is coming to the rescue! With some tips to keep the cabbage moths away:
1. find and crush the worms that cabbage moths leave behind through the season
2. use bug netting
3. plant a trap crop at least 6 feet away – she recommends mustard greens

And if that all fails, and you do get an infestation, it’s time to spray some Bt.

Happy gardening!
