Even if you aren’t a car enthusiast, there’s something pretty cool about seeing vintage vehicles take over the streets. Head to Village Greene from 5 to 8 pm for a blast to the past as these historic cars make their way through town. Or better yet, bring your own and join the parade.
Laser Bowie
When: Friday, August 12
Where: Glassboro, Rowan University
Rock out to the legendary music of David Bowie in the middle of a laser show. You’ll also be able to see the stars and constellations during the 1-hour program. Shows run from 7 – 8 pm and cost $5.
Spanish Music & Food Festival
When: Friday & Saturday, August 12 – 13
Where: Wildwoods
Catch live entertainment from award-winning Latin musicians at the Wildwoods Festival Playero. The main concert will take place on Saturday on the beach between Mariners Pier and Adventure Pier.
Triathlon

Where: Brigantine Beach
Get ready to swim, bike and run at the Brigantine Beach Triathlon. Not up for the challenge yourself? No problem — you can sign up as a team of 2 or 3, or even just come to cheer the athletes on. Race starts at 8am, and registration costs $125.
Boardwalk Craft Show

Where: Wildwoods Boardwalk
Explore local crafts to decorate your Shore home or buy beach-trip souvenirs along the boardwalk. The show runs from 9 am to 5 pm, rain or shine.
Food Truck Festival
When: Saturday, August 13
Where: Sewell
Eat up at the first annual Washington Township Food Truck Festival. Enjoy 15 food trucks, more than 40 vendors, live music, a beer garden and so much more. The event is at Olde Stone House Historic Village from 3 – 8 pm.
Craft Beer Festival

Where: Pitman
Grab a brew at the Summer Swelter Beer Festival. Sample beers from New Jersey craft breweries while you enjoy food trucks and live music from 12 – 5 pm at 614 Lambs Rd, Pitman.
Boys & Girls Fishing Tournament
When: Saturday, Aug. 13
Where: Ocean City
There is no cost to join this fishing tournament at North-end beach by the Longport Bridge. Bring your own bait and fishing equipment and enjoy the day of fishing and fun. The tournament, which is open to kids 8-16, starts at 9 am. Prizes will be awarded for various categories.
Seafood Fest
When: Saturday & Sunday, August 13 – 14
Where: Landisville
Come hungry for some fresh, local seafood at the Seafood Festival at Bellview Winery. Enjoy live music, sangria, wine and craft vendors. Admission costs $10 and is free for anyone under 21.
