Hanukkah in South Jersey: Events, Menorah Lightings & Family Traditions

The festival of lights is lighting up South Jersey. Check out these events to celebrate Hanukkah. 

 

Chanukah Party 

Dec. 10 

Celebrate Chanukah with a night of golfing – minus the cold – during Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey’s Young Adult Division’s Chanukah Party. Hosted at Dogleg Golf, the event runs from 6 to 8 pm. Tickets cost $10. For more information, visit the website

 

Chesed, Chanukah and Hot Wheelz

Dec. 11 

Enjoy a night of fun, friendship and giving back at Katz JCC’s Chesed, Chanukah and Hot Wheelz, featuring pizza, skating, arcade games, treats and more. The event is for ages 10 and up, and runs from 6 to 8:30 pm at Hot Wheelz Roller Skating Rink. For more information, visit the website

 

Hanukkah Pop-Up Shop 

Dec.14

Giant Menorah Lighting 

Dec. 14

Light the giant Menorah for Hanukkah this year and enjoy latkes, donuts, gelt, hot drinks, live music and more family fun at Barclay Farms Shopping Center. The free event starts at 5 pm. For more information, visit the website

 

Chanakuh Village Walk 

Dec. 15

Feel the festive charm of Chanukah with crafts, activities, giveaways and a grand Menorah lighting on Main Street in Medford. The free event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Medford Village Park. For more information, visit the website

 

Moorestown Chanukah Celebration 

Dec. 17 

Mark the third night of Hanukkah with latkes, donuts, cider, crafts, a stunt show and plenty of family fun on the Moorestown Community House Lawn. The free event starts at 6 pm. For more information, visit the website

 

Collingswood Menorah Lighting 

Dec. 18

Chanukah on Ice 

Dec. 20 

Take to the ice for a menorah lighting, music, chanukah mascots, skating, latkes and more during Chanukah on Ice at Igloo Ice Rink in Mt. Laurel. The event costs $12, $15 after Dec. 14, and includes a skate rental. For more information, visit the website

 

Haddonfield Chanukah Celebration 

Dec. 21

Celebrate the final night of Chanukah at Library Point in Haddonfield with a menorah lighting, fire jugglers, music and drinks, crafts and more fun for the whole family. The free event starts at 4 pm. For more information, visit the website

 

Hanukkah Fireworks 

Dec. 21 

Fireworks light the sky for Temple Beth Sholom and Kellman Brown Academy’s Hanukkah celebration, hosted at Kellman Brown Academy. The night will include a giant candle lighting, games, music, dancing and sweet treats. For more information, visit the website.
