8 South Jersey Playgrounds to take your kids to this spring

Let your kids’ imaginations run wild (and get some of that endless energy out of their system at the same time) with some fun-filled playgrounds right here in South Jersey.

Laurel Acres Park

1045 S. Church St., Mt. Laurel

The whole family can have fun here – enjoy parent/child infant swings, plenty of slides and building structures. Plus, there are walking trails (one is stroller and wheelchair accessible), picnic tables, restrooms and even fishing.

Sand Castle Park Playground

34th & West Ave., Ocean City

You can stay the day, there’s so much to do here! This fenced-in playground has accessible and parent/baby swings, as well as lots of slides (including a tunnel slide), a rope climb and balance beam.

Imagination Kingdom Playground

555 Pemberton-Browns Mills Road, Pemberton

Explore a playground fit for royalty, with a castle-themed playscape, “horse-drawn” see-saw and a gazebo for your feasts. The space also features a variety of slides, a tire swing and plenty of climbing structures to stage your adventures.

Jake’s Place Cherry Hill

101 Bortons Mill Rd, Cherry Hill

New Jersey’s first (but certainly not last) all inclusive playground is full of activities for children of all abilities: Specialized areas for people with autism, climbing structures and balance bridges, wheelchair ramps and wheelchair accessible glider, sensory activities, slides, swings and more.

Jake’s Place Delran

12 Hartford Road, Delran

This all-inclusive playground built to accommodate all children blends education, activity and fun all in one place. Bring the whole crew to play the day away with musical instruments, fact sheets to learn and playground classics (swings, slides, bridges and more).

Knight Park Playground

Park Ave & W Browning Rd, Collingswood

Start your day at scenic Knight Park by taking a spin on the many fun activities in the playground – slides, swings (including one accessible swing), sensory activities, an area for younger kids, jungle gyms and more.

Red Bank Battlefield Park Playground

100 Hessian Ave, National Park

Set sail for fun aboard this ship-inspired playscape complete with a helm to steer, “rigging” to climb and bridges to practice your balance on the 7 seas (or in this case, the wood mulch). And nearby picnic tables are a perfect spot to refuel before your next voyage.

Scotland Run Park Playground

980 E Academy St, Clayton

Take in the views of Wilson Lake as the kids try out tunnels, slides, climbing structures, bongos, swings and more. The playground also features an accessibility ramp, accessible swings and a wheelchair-accessible glider.
