Beyond the Glass Ceiling Gala

Art Camp: Celebrating Women’s History Month
March 12

The ABC’s of Women’s History
March 15
Grab the whole family for a day of crafts, hot chocolate and history at Alice Paul Center for Gender Studies’ family Saturday. The free event will also feature a book reading and signing by Rio Cortez and Lauren Semmer, author and illustrator of “The ABC’s of Women’s History.” The event runs from noon to 3 pm. Lessons in Leadership
March 19
Join the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey for their first Women’s Council event of the year. A panel of dynamic South Jersey leaders from different industries and career paths will discuss with moderator, SJ Mag’s Marianne Aleardi, how they lead with purpose, authenticity and empathy.
Women’s Business Conference
March 21
It’s a (half) day of education with the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce, featuring a panel on prioritizing wellness in the workspace, a session on building your personal brand on LinkedIn and a one-on-one conversation with SJ Mag’s Marianne Aleardi. Feminist Book Club
March 26
Everyone is invited to Cherry Hill Public Library’s quarterly feminist book club, where participants discuss topics of gender equity, feminism and the current political climate. Harriet Tubman Museum
Cape May
One of the most well-known and inspiring women in history, Harriet Tubman, worked for monumental change right here in South Jersey – Cape May to be exact – where she organized and facilitated stretches of the Underground Railroad and spoke out as an abolitionist. You can learn about her history, the lives of Black people in Cape May and other aspects of the abolitionist movement at the Harriet Tubman Museum. For more information and hours, visit the website.
