Fall farm visits are just better. Especially when the farm is in South Jersey. (It’s called the Garden State for a reason!)
Lawnside
Visit the farm on Sept. 13 for the edible farm tour, where you’ll taste your way through the farm and leave with seeds and produce. Plus, the farm hosts educational courses to learn how to grow your own food, works with schools to create in-school garden programs and hosts a summer science camp.
Medford
With a farm market, fields of produce, a petting zoo and discovery barnyard for the little ones, Johnson’s has plenty of fun for the whole family. This fall, you can pick your own pumpkins and gourds, take a hayride, pick up apple butter in the market and taste pumpkin ice cream (you’ve gotta try it.).
Elmer
Fall at Coombs is lively with tots days through September and a flashlight corn maze opening in October. Plus, mark your calendars for a murder mystery dinner on Sept. 18 and a pumpkin carving fundraiser on Oct. 9, ,10 and 11. Plus, your little ones can sign up for fall farm camp to spend time with the animals, tend the community gardens, pick pumpkins and more.
Sewell
The farm is in full swing with story time on the farm (Sept. 4), the apple and food truck festival (Sept. 12) and Family Fun Night (Oct. 16). Visit the animals on the farm, pick your own pumpkins and apples, take a hayride, pick up some fresh produce and stop by the deli when you have time.
Salem
This flower farm not only specializes in cut flowers, but also hosts events and workshops to make the most of the blooms. Sign up for their BYOB date nights (Oct. 10, 18, 24) for a special date among the flowers, where you can also cut your own bouquet to take home. And don’t miss the Dahlia Design workshop on Oct. 11.
Mullica Hill
It’s time for pumpkin picking and corn mazes at Mood’s Farm Market. And don’t forget to stop by the farm market to pick up some Jersey Fresh ingredients and pantry items for your next homemade dish. And stop by on Sept. 12 for the apple festival with hayrides, donut eating contest and the opening of the corn maze.
