Although Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins is praised for his skills on the field, he’s also known for his passion off the field. This week, the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) honored his commitment and service to the community.
Jenkins received the Byron “Whizzer” White Award, an honor recognizing a player’s initiative to perform community service in his team’s cities and hometowns. It’s the highest honor the NFLPA bestows.
With the award, Jenkins’ foundation – the Malcolm Jenkins Foundation – will receive a $100,000 donation. The foundation supports youth development in underserved communities with programs and initiatives focusing on education, character, life skills and more.
It's an amazing honor to be recognized for this award. I applaud all who make @TheMJFoundation great! You are the ones who are being honored https://t.co/roTnXnY141
