On Thursday night, Sudfeld was hesitant and cautious and threw two first half interceptions. You simply can’t throw picks in the preseason. No defense is game planning against you. In another words, it’s all on the quarterback. Sudfeld had one terrific touchdown bomb to Shelton Gibson. But with Carson Wentz not yet cleared for contact, hats off to Roseman and head coach Doug Pederson for keeping their powder dry and not trading Foles in the off season for a bag of lug nuts. Foles is once again proving positively invaluable.
Sudfeld may one day prove he can step into the starting role. He’s just not there yet.
