#SalPalEaglesCamp: Carson Returns to the Field – and SalPal’s Take on Which QB Will Start the Season

Carson Wentz is proving all the doubters wrong. His progress has been nothing short of remarkable. Players had the day off today. Wentz had Sunday off too, so that was two days straight of no practice.

But before that: Wentz did his first 11-on-11 drills on Thursday last week. He took his first snaps with the first team on Friday. And he put the full pads and practiced with the first team on Saturday.

All of this only a little over seven months removed from blowing out his left knee in Los Angeles against the Rams on Dec. 10, 2017. Remember, Wentz shredded both the LCL and the ACL in his left knee, making the rehab process doubly arduous and complicated.

My take: Wentz – barring any major setback – in on pace to start the NFL opener, Thursday, Sept. 6 at Lincoln Financial Field against the Atlanta Falcons.

“He’s not letting a sliver of doubt creep into his mind,” tight end Zach Ertz, his best friend on the team, told me.
