Rutgers–University Camden student, Sam Adepoju, is supporting coronavirus relief worldwide with one simple item: a t-shirt.

Adepoju announced on Facebook his newly designed tee – featuring the phrase “Please Wear Inside” and color-blocking – and shared that 50 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Convoy of Hope, an American faith-based nonprofit that donates food, supplies and humanitarian services throughout the world.

The nonprofit is trying to supply 10 million meals across the U.S. in response to the pandemic.

Adepoju’s shirt is sold through his clothing line, POJU, in partnership with his non-profit Some Painted Things.

The Willingboro resident decided to take action when he realized people weren’t taking the threat of COVID-19 seriously. When the virus first started claiming lives in China, he felt “disappointment” in the lack of response from his fellow humans.

“When we are not the ones being directly affected, it is easy to forget about the struggles of others,” he says.

So he decided to take action – one tee at a time. The shirts cost $30 and are available in sizes XS-XXL. You can purchase his new design and support Convoy of Hope here.
