South Jersey doesn’t usually have high hopes of seeing snow on Christmas day, but this may be our year.
This year’s forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of snow. It’s a substantial change from last year’s record-high temperatures that reached over 70 degrees.
Historically, the chances of a white Christmas (at least one foot of snow on the ground come December 25) are 6 to 7 percent. The last South Jersey white Christmas was only seven years ago, when a blizzard blanketed the area the weekend before Christmas.
