If you’re searching for the perfect four-legged friend to call your own, today might be the day. For one day only, the Camden County Animal Shelter is doing something a little extra to help the pets in their system find their new fur-ever homes.

The Camden County Animal Shelter in Blackwood is hosting a “pop-up adoption party” from 11 am to 6 pm July 26. During the pop-up event, all adoption fees for both cats and dogs will be waived.

The no-profit shelter, which is operated by the Animal Welfare Society of Camden County, is one of the leading animal welfare agencies in the region and has the highest intake and save rates. Last year, the SJ organization was the only open-admission animal shelter in the region to achieve a 92 percent save rate for dogs and 91 percent save rate for cats.
