“This is South Jersey with Marianne Aleardi” is back for a fourth season with three new episodes this month! The show features Aleardi visiting fun spots in South Jersey. Take a look:
“Shearing Day, Decorating Day”
Premieres: Sept. 27 at 8 pm on NJTV and Oct. 3 at 12:30 pm on WHYY
It’s shearing day on the alpaca farm, and Marianne Aleardi checks out exactly what that looks like before heading to the Burlington County Prison Museum. She joins her husband for a special pasta-making class in the cooking teacher’s very own kitchen and stops in Collingswood to learn how to decorate a cake at DiBartolo Bakery – although clearly, her talent is eating the cake.
“A taste of the South – South Jersey, that is”
Premieres: Oct. 4 at 8 pm on NJTV and Oct. 10 at 12:30 pm on WHYY
Aleardi picks strawberries at Johnson’s Corner Farm then works with Chef Scott Reddy to bake a fresh strawberry pie. At Smithville Historic Park, she hears about the 19th-century scandals that rocked the village and then travels to Collingswood to make all-natural soap. Steve Priolo hits a tasty, out-of-the-way BBQ joint to get a taste of the South – South Jersey, that is.
“Singers, Soldiers…and Ghosts?”
Premieres: Oct. 18 at 8 pm on NJTV and Oct. 17 at 12:30 pm on WHYY
Hear some harmony as Marianne Aleardi visits the Regional Barbershop Chorus competition in Cherry Hill before heading back in time in Haddonfield to watch a skirmish during the American Revolution (right there on Kings Highway). Steve Priolo discovers a small-time pasta giant disguised as a mom-and-pop shop in Westmont, and Aleardi braces herself, holds her breath…and goes on a ghost hunt in Fieldsboro.
