There’s a New Passenger Ferry Coming to LBI

If you hate sitting in Shore traffic, Long Beach Island has a new solution.

Starting later this month, LBI and the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce will roll out a brand-new passenger ferry that will shuttle passengers between Tuckerton Seaport and Beach Haven’s Taylor Avenue Municipal Dock, skipping all the bridge hassles. And the best part: the ferry is totally free.

The 25-person pontoon boat will begin running on Aug. 19 and run on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays between both ports at varying departing times. The ferry, which has been in the works since last year, will also offer an express service during the popular Chowderfest Weekend. To learn more, check out the LBI Ferry.
