Situated on 178 pristine acres in Cherry Hill, The Legacy Club is home to a William Flynn-designed course known for its sweeping views and beautifully manicured grounds. Since 1929, the club has been more than a place to play – it has been a gathering place for devoted golfers, families, and professionals alike, where each season brings something new to discover.
As The Legacy Club approaches its centennial, a new era of leadership is shaping its future. When new ownership took the helm in late 2021, they embraced a clear and ambitious vision: to honor the architectural integrity and rich history of the club while thoughtfully reimagining the member experience for a modern generation. What began with transformative renovations to private event spaces and the introduction of a new public-facing restaurant has evolved into a broader, multi-year investment strategy. The enhancements underway – from course expansions to racquet sports additions and amenity upgrades – are part of a carefully phased plan that will continue through 2026 and beyond, ensuring The Legacy Club remains a destination for generations to come.
Recent course upgrades include the expansions of the 8th, 10th, and 13th holes – strategic updates that lengthen the course and introduce new dimensions of challenge for competitive golfers. Complementing these enhancements are significant upgrades to the club’s irrigation system, major equipment acquisitions further strengthening course conditions year-round, and the introduction of the new indoor golf simulator and TrackMan Range system that has transformed practice into an engaging experience for members. Members can now analyze ball flight, distance, and performance metrics in real time – blending technology with a timeless game.
But today’s private club experience extends well beyond golf.
Opening this spring, five new pickleball courts will introduce another vibrant gathering space to the property. The sport’s fast-growing popularity and social energy offer members of all ages a dynamic way to connect and compete. To further support this expansion, The Legacy Club will enhance its retail shop with dedicated pickleball equipment and accessories, ensuring members have convenient access to the latest gear right on property.

Future enhancements will also extend into the clubhouse and surrounding amenities. Planned renovations to the Men’s Locker Room will elevate comfort and functionality, enhancing the daily experience for members. At the pool, upcoming upgrades include a new outdoor bar and expanded seating areas, which will introduce a more refined, resort-style atmosphere where families unwind, friends gather, and summer afternoons stretch effortlessly into evening.
And of course, dining remains central to the club’s identity. Members enjoy relaxed lunches overlooking the course, celebratory dinners, themed events, and private gatherings that mark life’s milestones. Thoughtfully curated menus, attentive service, and inviting spaces make the club more than just a venue.
This blend of championship golf, technology, recreation, and hospitality reflects a broader philosophy: The Legacy Club is not simply preserving tradition – it is redefining what modern private club life can be.
In the years ahead, continued course expansions, facility enhancements, and programming initiatives will further shape the club’s next chapter. Each improvement is guided by the same principle that has sustained The Legacy Club since 1929: thoughtful evolution rooted in tradition.
