Move over Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi. New Jersey’s next rock God or Goddess may be in the making thanks to the Hard Rock Atlantic City.
The hotel & casino has donated over 100 instruments to nine Atlantic City schools for students involved in the district’s instrumental music programs.
Barry Caldwell, Superintendent, Atlantic City School District, said the instruments will open doors for some aspiring musicians. “We have students who play, and some students who don’t play because they don’t have the means, but this addition will cultivate some young musicians,” he said.
The donation comes from the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, which funds locally driven music programs throughout the world.
“We made a commitment to the community,” said Joe Lupo, President, Hard Rock Atlantic City. “We made a commitment to the kids to give back.”
