As the demolition of Camden High School moved forward, a historic secret was uncovered inside its cornerstone.

A time capsule that the Camden community buried in 1916 was found at the school was torn down. The small box buried inside a stone marked with the year contained many documents that had been damaged over the years.

The documents that can be salvaged will be preserved by the Camden County Historical Society, which will create a plan to display them in the new Camden High School building.
