South Jersey Medical School Joins Coalition to Cure Brain Tumors

Local hospitals and medical schools are teaming up to find a cure for adult and pediatric brain tumors.

Cooper Medical School at Rowan University will join researchers from The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University and Thomas Jefferson University to form the Philadelphia Coalition for a Cure. The team plans to develop better informed methods for treating brain tumors and share its results with the world.

Researchers will use testing provided by personalized healthcare company NantHealth, Inc., including molecular profiling and a diagnostics test (GPS Cancer).
